Milton woman killed in Interstate 10 accident
A 31 year old Milton woman was killed in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 10 Wednesday morning. Florida Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at mile marker 29 westbound. The vehicle ran off the road and overturned.

County Economic Development Office offering StRIVE grant through July
From May 1 through the end of July, Santa Rosa County small business owners will have the opportunity to upgrade their storefronts thanks to matching grants from the county.
After having been put on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Santa Rosa Improvement Vitalization Enterprise (StRIVE) grant program is being revived for summer 2024. Businesses applying for the grant are eligible for funds up to $10,000.

Milton to purchase cameras for police
The city of Milton is getting closer to purchasing body worn cameras for its police department.
The council heard about quotes for body worn cameras during their Thursday, May 17 work session. The cameras were approved by the council, totaling $64,295, during the Fiscal Year 2024 budget process. However, according to information shared at the work session, the total cost is actually $15,368.73 more, for a total of $79,663.73, because the original quotes did not contain all of the necessary equipment.

“The Blue Angels,” a new documentary about the legendary U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team, had its world premiere Thursday, May 16 at the AMC Bayou 15 theater in Pensacola. The new film offers an inside look at the Blue Angels.
