A Santa Rosa County District Schools employee was arrested for battery after he allegedly rubbed another employee’s shoulder against her will. Daniel Hahn, 59, was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail Tuesday, Oct. 7, around noon.

Alfredo Mendoza Montero, 45, of Mexico, was sentenced to two years and one day in federal prison after having pleaded guilty to charges of passport fraud, false impersonation of a citizen, and aggravated identity theft. The sentence was announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

A 47-year-old Milton man was arrested for the shooting death of a 41 year old woman at a residence in the Milton area Friday evening, Aug. 1. Curtis Marvin Johnson, 47, is charged with homicide. In his arrest report, the charge is de-scribed as “murder dangerous depraved without premeditation.”

Cesar Campos-Reyes, 52, is charged with four counts of bank fraud, four counts of wire fraud and one count of money laundering. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Alabama, the charges stem from an alleged scheme involving federal program fraud.

Jimmy Robinson, 28, is charged with homicide. According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation across multiple years found Robinson responsible for the overdose death of a person in 2023.
