Damian’s Ice Cream is building a new distribution center in Milton’s I-10 Industrial Park. And the incredibly missed frozen lemonade will be sold again for the first time in years. On Feb. 20, they held a groundbreaking event for the new site.

On Feb. 12, the award-winning restaurant Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q opened its new location Pace. With the help of Santa Rosa County officials, they celebrated their grand opening.

Police officers often face distrust from the public. Captain Keith Kauffman and Sergeant Chris Cognac from Hawthorne, Calif., created Coffee with a Cop in 2011. Their goal is to restore trust between officers and the citizens they serve.

While two local staples, Grover T’s BBQ and Ollie’s Neighborhood Grill, closed their doors in 2024, a new local restaurant just opened, Andy D’s Roadhouse.

On Friday, Dec. 3, Andrew DeMartin and his wife, Lacey, celebrated the opening of their second restaurant, Andy D’s Roadhouse, which is located off Hwy. 90 at the former Grover T’s BBQ location. The couple opened their first restaurant, Andy D’s, in Navarre in 2023 and did better than they could have hoped for.

Florida Power and Light (FPL) has announced new rates are on the horizon for customers. The company, which supplies much of the electricity to homes and businesses in northwest Florida, plans to file a formal request to set new rates once its current base rate agreement concludes at the end of 2025. The agreement is with the Florida Public Service Commission.

A longtime Milton restaurant has closed its doors.

Santa Rosa Medical Group has opened an urgent care to provide residents in Pace access to a medical facility seven days a week.

Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce held the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 8 and the healthcare providers at the location had the honor of cutting the ribbon with a large pair of gold-colored scissors.

Construction is well underway on Grover’s Fingers and Wings second location in Milton, but the local restaurant chain may soon have third location in Pace.
