The Santa Rosa County library system is offering lots of ways to keep children involved in reading this summer.
Their “Oceans of Possibilities” summer reading program kicks off on June 6 and runs until July 16, but registration opens May 26.
Janani Iyengar never expects less than the best from herself. She never has throughout her academic career.
That mindset has played a pivotal role in helping her earn the distinction of salutatorian of Pace High’s class of 2022.
Elizabeth Harshany has soared to the top of her class at Pace High and is the school’s valedictorian for the Class of 2022.
A well-rounded student-athlete, Harshany said ‘prioritization’ has been key to her success.
Reed Wilson is honored to be Milton High’s salutatorian, acknowledging that it took a lot of hard work to get here.
But what excites the senior the most about the honor is the chance to speak at graduation.
Abigail Henry is only 16. And while she is younger than the average soon-to-be high school graduate, that hasn’t stopped the Milton High senior from soaring to the top of her class.
Henry is the school’s valedictorian and is proud of that accomplishment, though she admits the pressure of being a little younger than her peers hasn’t always been easy to deal with.
Out of all the volunteers at Santa Rosa County schools, three were named “outstanding” for the school year. The school district divides the awards into three categories: youth, adult and senior adult.
This year’s winners are Aidan Brewer in the youth category, Timothy Chandler in the adult category and Beth Wingate in the senior adult category.
