Central’s volleyball team left it all on the floor against powerhouse Baker in a Rural District 1 semifinal at Northview Tuesday night.

Pace’s Eli Tyner and Jay’s Addie Cone were among the top local runners at the Aggie Invitational Tuesday morning at the Ashton Brosnaham Complex in Pensacola.

Pace, Navarre and Milton all turned in strong performances at the Santa Rosa County swim meet Monday at the Hunter Pool in Pensacola.

The latest FHSAA regional football rankings are out and Pace is now second in Region 1-6A and third overall in the state in 6A.


Milton is sixth this week in Region 1-5A while Baker is 10th in the Rural Region 1 rankings.

The interesting thing is that until this season, UWF, which has enjoyed a lot of success in a short time as a program, has never been unbeaten through its first six games.

Jay hit the road Friday night for a football matchup against rival Northview. In a wire-to-wire thriller, the Royals came out victorious 28-20.


Friday’s victory marked the program’s first win on the Chiefs’ field in over 20 years.

The laser-focused Patriots captured their second consecutive District 1-6A title with a convincing 30-8 road victory over the Aggies.

Last Thursday night, the Milton Panthers scored the ultimate tribute to the late former Milton football coach, Hurley Manning, with a 42-0 victory over visiting Gulf Breeze.


Playing on the field that bears Manning’s name, Milton bounced back from its first loss of the season two weeks ago with a complete game and improved to 6-1.
