Latest look at FHSAA regional basketball rankings
With the final week of the regular season coming up soon, several area teams remain in playoff contention based on the latest FHSAA regional rankings.
Jay’s girls basketball team is second in Rural Region 1 while the Royals’ boys team is fourth. In Region 1-6A, Milton’s girls basketball team is sixth and the boys are eighth.

It’s district tournament time for Pace and Milton soccer teams
The District 1-6A soccer tournament brackets are set, with action scheduled to get underway on Thursday.
Navarre’s boys and girls soccer teams are both seeded second and get a bye in the opening round. Pace’s boys soccer team will host Milton in a tourney opener while the Milton girls will host Pace.

Jay boys basketball team on a roll after late start to season
Brady Godwin knows how tough it can be to transition from one sport to the next. Fresh off an extended football season, he and his teammates that were on the gridiron for the Royals needed time to get their basketball legs underneath them.
It appears they have that under control now as the Royals are on a roll, pushing their win streak to five games with a 57-26 road win over L.E.A.D. Academy last Monday night.
