Meet Brad Baker: County leader cares deeply, works hard
Brad Baker has been dedicated to the well-being of Santa Rosa County residents since he was 18 years old, when he ran across his first structure fire on the way to meet a friend to go hunting. From then on, he was hooked. He also started working at the county’s 911 center that same year, when it was housed in a closet at the courthouse and had one 911 operator on-site at night.

ProHealth donates $21,000 to 10 local nonprofits
ProHealth of northwest Florida donated $21,000 to 10 local nonprofits during the month of December. Each ProHealth office was given $3,000 to donate to a nonprofit of the employees’ choosing. The money was split between multiple nonprofits or the total amount to one single nonprofit. There are seven ProHealth offices in Northwest Florida. Recipients include the Pensacola Habitat for Humanity, The Birthday Party, Favor House, Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women, Food Raising Friends, A Hope for SRC, SRC Kids House, Crestview Pregnancy Center, Path of Grace and The Good Samaritan Clinic.

Patriots hold candlelight vigil for Jan. 6 prisoners
