L.E.A.D. Academy’s girls and boys basketball teams played for District 1-1A titles Friday night in Tallahassee.
The girls claimed a championship in convincing fashion, crushing North Florida Christian 57-10. The boys are a district runner-up after a 73-57 loss to FAMU DRS.

Jay’s boys basketball team wrapped up its season last Thursday night with a 46-29 loss to Paxton in the Rural District 1 tournament.
The Royals finish the year with a 9-14 record. Despite the challenges, effort was never an issue for Jay, which had only three seniors on the roster.
