Jay, Pace and Milton wrapped up their regular seasons in softball this past week and are in good shape to make the regional tournament heading into district tourney play.
The Royals and Patriots are atop their respective regions, with Jay No. 1 in Rural Region 1 as well as the state. Reigning state champion Pace is ranked first in Region 1-6A and second in the state while Milton is sixth in Region 1-5A.

Pace’s beach volleyball team is headed to the regional tournament for the first time in program history.
The Patriots will be the fifth seed for the Region 1-2A tourney and open play against fourth-seeded Beachside on Tuesday in St. Johns, Florida.

Amaya Pablo saw Kenna Pacitti in the end zone and fired off a pass.
Pacitti had to battle to hang on after the ball was deflected, but she ultimately made a clutch catch that proved to be the difference in Pace’s hard-fought 13-6 win over Bartram Trail in a Region 1-3A quarterfinal Wednesday night.
