When Pace and Navarre battle each other in girls soccer tonight, a lot more than a win will be on the line.

The Raiders are currently ninth in the latest Region 1-6A rankings, one spot behind the Patriots.

On Christmas Day, the phone of Corliss Waitman started ringing. It wasn’t a family member or friend wishing him a Merry Christmas, but rather the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Raiders defeated Pace behind six lifters who won their respective weight classes.

Central School’s Girls Volleyball Team, the Lady Jags, left Friday for their first game of the Final Four for the state 1As. They are 1A regional champions. They will play Pierson at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pierson Middle/High School in Pierson, Florida. If they win that, they go to Fort Myers Wednesday to play the finals Thursday.

Their record is currently 17-10 and they are ranked #3 for 1A in the state.
