Jubilee to reapply for zoning changes, CDD
Santa Rosa County rejected Jubilee in September, but its developers are determined to try again beginning later this month.
“I don’t think people really understood what we’re proposing,” Ron Reeser, owner of The Eagle Group LLC, said Monday, May 1, before a meeting with area residents at the Pace Community Center. “They’re concerned about flooding, and they’re concerned about traffic. We need to show them how our plan will help the county address those issues, not just in Jubilee, but in the surrounding area.”

More dollar stores coming to Santa Rosa County
For those of you looking for another dollar store to shop at in Santa Rosa County, you’re in luck.
There are currently two Dollar Generals in development in the north end of Santa Rosa County, one on Woodbine Road in Pace and another in East Milton at the corner of Hickory Hammock Road and Ward Basin Road. They have both been approved by the county.

Jorgenson: Milton ‘welcomes’ audit ‘for real or perceived purposes’
Milton City Manager Randy Jorgenson on Thursday said the city “welcomes an audit of our operations at any time for any real or perceived purpose.” Santa Rosa’s Press Gazette learned earlier in the day that Florida Sen. Doug Broxson, R-Gulf Breeze, had asked the Joint Legislative Auditing Committee to audit the city and its utilities because of concerns about increasing costs to build a new wastewater treatment plant.
