New Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer’s ready for primetime
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office has two new faces and they won’t be donning a badge. They are public information officers, responsible for releasing pertinent information concerning the agency to the public.
For the past few years, Jillian Durkin has held the role, helping facilitate press conferences, interviews with the Sheriff, and being a public face of the agency at community events. To replace Durkin, who left the agency in June, the Sheriff’s Office has named Mikiko Tucker as public information officer (PIO) and Kylie Blankenship as assistant PIO.

Jay Office of the Santa Rosa Tax Collector’s Office closed until further notice
The Jay Office of the Santa Rosa Tax Collector’s Office, 5259 Booker Lane in Jay will be closed until further notice due to the ongoing construction at the Jay Community Center. Milton, Midway and Pace offices are still accepting customers during regular business hours by appointment. There is currently no estimated time of re-opening. Updates will be provided as they are confirmed.

A new RV park is planned for Munson Highway in Milton
