A community leader was laid to rest this week. The funeral for Nancy Bullock-Prevot was held March 28, 2022. Bullock-Prevot was a 21-year Navy veteran and the founder of the Honor HER Foundation. She passed away in a motor vehicle accident March 21.

Beginning this Mon., Mar. 14 the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit will be hosting the USPCA Region 1 Field Trials here in Santa Rosa County. The Trials are a week-long event which is a certification and a competition. Activities start Monday, 8:00 am at Gulf Breeze High School. Monday will consist of obedience and agility. Tues., 8:00 am at Gulf Breeze High School, there will be suspect area searches. Wednesday will be apprehension work. On Thursday morning, the apprehension work will continue until completed. All events are open to the public.
