Milton man charged with myriad offenses following traffic stop
A 29 year old Milton man was booked into jail on June 3 after investigators with the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office began looking into him following a traffic stop.
The man, Mark Anthony Frate, was stopped on June 3 after a sergeant with Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office noticed that Frate was driving down the road at four in the morning with a two year old in his lap. The two year old was unrestrained in the car.

A shop offering treats to indulge one’s sweet tooth and a gym to help work off the extra calories are expected to receive business improvement grants from the City of Milton in the coming weeks.
The Sweet Greek is a new business planned at 5237 Willing St., where Scoops Ice Cream Shop was located.

The Department of Health is monitoring the current infant formula shortage and takes this life-threatening issue very seriously, according to a press release from Florida Health – Okaloosa County.
On May 12, 2022, State Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo sent a letter to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Robert Califf regarding the formula shortages affecting some of Florida’s most vulnerable populations.
Nandin named Air Force Spouse of the Year, recognized for SAFE Program
Vice President of Emerald Coast Exceptional Families (ECEF) Angela Nandin was named the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC)’s 2021 Spouse of the Year and received the Joan Orr Award.
