Parental rights in education have become a massive issue politically, not just in Florida, but across the country. One group is helping lead that charge.
Moms for Liberty, a nonprofit advocacy group based in Melbourne, Florida, has campaigned against COVID-19 restrictions in schools, school curriculums that mention critical race theory or gender ideology and some chapters have campaigned to remove certain books that address gender or sexuality from school libraries.

Pace man killed in single-vehicle traffic crash
A Pace man was killed early Monday morning on the University of West Florida property.
The 21-year-old man was driving west on Campus Drive near the intersection of Campus Lane at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of his vehicle, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Pace NJROTC wins national championship for 3rd time
Pace High School NJROTC program is proud to announce that it has won the Navy National Academic Athletic & Drill Championship for the third time.
This prestigious championship is a test of academic, athletic and drill skills of Navy Junior ROTC cadets from around the nation. The competition was held in Pensacola and teams from all over the nation competed in the event.

Milton man arrested for DUI after crashing car at Sheriff’s Office
Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputies didn’t have to travel far to arrest someone this morning when a Milton man overturned his vehicle at the agency’s main office on East Milton Road Friday, March 31.
Timothy Michael Wright, 24, of Milton, was arrested and charged with DUI after his car crashed into a tree and overturned. According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, FHP responded to a single vehicle crash at 1:34 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Office.
