With limited budgets and resources available to schools, volunteers play a crucial role in allowing teachers and other faculty to focus on providing students with a quality education. Each year, Santa Rosa District Schools names their volunteers of the year for the whole district.

Each year, Santa Rosa District Schools gather members of the school board, Santa Rosa Education Foundation and the community together to surprise the pick for Santa Rosa Teacher of the Year. This year, the group ventured to Allentown to announce Christal Bennett, Central School’s band teacher, as the district’s best.

Santa Rosa County District Schools is proud to announce a substantial increase in its graduation rate, reaching an impressive 90.4% for the 2022-23 school year. This marks a remarkable 4.4% surge since 2017, showcasing the commitment and diligence of both students and the dedicated educational community.

Santa Rosa County District Schools is again recruiting and accepting applications for School Guardian. The Chris Hixon, Coach Aaron Feis, and Coach Scott Beigel Guardian Program was established in 2018 through the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. In its initial report, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Public Safety Commission found that having guardians in schools is the best way to ensure highly trained personnel are in place to respond immediately in the event of a school shooting.
