The community drive-through food distribution event on Dec. 2 provided hundreds of families with free food. Last year 10,000 pounds of food was donated within one hour, this year both of those figures doubled.
The annual Creek Fest is a celebration of the Santa Rosa Band of Creek Indians, who were known for speaking the Muscogee language. This year’s event featured re-enactments, Muscogee stickball, arts and crafts vendors, and more.
The 2024 annual awards ceremony for the Lifeguard Ambulance Service of Santa Rosa County honored local lifeguards and emergency medical technicians (EMT) for their outstanding accomplishments. One local EMT was named the EMT of the Year for the state of Florida.

The Milton Historic Cemetery is almost two centuries old with the oldest burial site dating back to a young girl in 1837. Today the cemetery has been well kept but Cemetery Manager Christie Haarmann has plans for improvements after receiving a jumbo-sized check at the Milton City Council Meeting on Nov. 14.
