Aidan Gilroy took the junior college route at the start of his college baseball career. That’s never easy to do.


And yet, the Pace grad didn’t let the challenges he faced deter him.

Milton’s Bryson Brown is a national champion.


Brown won his weight division (61 KG) as well as the junior division at the USA Weightlifting Nationals in Pittsburgh this week.

Milton’s girls basketball team didn’t play games at all last summer. The Panthers have been on the court each week this summer, though, and head coach Keith Cone said it’s proven beneficial.

Pace won a state softball championship in one of the toughest classifications (6A) in the state back in May.


So it seems only fitting that the coach of the top-ranked Patriots, Lexi Alexander, and the team’s star pitcher, Jayden Heavener, are considered the best in Florida for 2024.

It was one last opportunity for area baseball players to play the game they love. Seniors from Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties competed in an East vs. West Pensacola Sports Association All-Star Game last Friday night at Pensacola State.

For a moment, there was a question of whether the Pensacola Sports Association All-Star Softball Game was officially over.


Yes, the East was firmly in control, leading the West by six runs on a humid evening in Pensacola, but the umpires had to determine if the game was going nine as originally planned or being called after seven.

Joeseph Skipworth will go into his senior season without the pressure of having to still find a place to play college football.


That’s because the Pace standout announced June 12 he was committing to the Kansas Jayhawks.

Kaylin Brown hasn’t been an athlete her entire life. But when she got to Milton High School, Brown was on the weightlifting team as a freshman and a teacher mentioned that lacrosse might be something she’d enjoy playing.
