Kendall Ballou came home with a state weightlifting championship for the first time in his high school career last season.
Ballou claimed the 129 lbs. title in traditional. This year, the senior Pace lifter moved up to 139 but hasn’t missed a beat.

In 2023, the Milton junior tied for first at the 3A state meet but was forced to settle for second in the traditional competition by virtue of his competitor weighing slightly less.

There was a time when Milton wasn’t on the radar as a state title contender in boys weightlifting.
Times have changed. The Panthers showed that again Saturday at the Region 1-3A meet in Navarre, placing third in Olympic and traditional in perhaps the most challenging region in Florida.
