Pace’s flag football team is now the No. 1 team in Region 1-3A while Navarre is just outside the top eight this week.

Jay and Central remain in the top four of the Rural regional rankings while Pace and Milton are among the best in their respective regions as well.

Hayden Tripodi and Anna Barnes have embraced their roles as goal scorers for Milton’s girls lacrosse team.


The two have been leaders in that category this season for the Panthers.

The latest regional rankings are out for softball and Jay, Pace, Navarre and Milton all remain in the top eight of their respective regions.

Ella Nelson has established herself at the college level during her freshman year at Samford and was just named the Southern Conference Player of the Week.

It’s regional meet week in boys weightlifting. The Region 1-3A meet is Wednesday in DeLand and the Region 1-1A meet is Saturday at Baker.


In both meets, there will be no shortage of representation from Northwest Florida.

It was a matchup worthy of late April or early May. Jay and Pace squaring off in a game between two unbeaten teams ranked in the state and sitting atop their respective regions.


On this Friday night in March in Pace, it was the Royals who prevailed, scoring 10 runs in the sixth to pull away for a 17-6 win in six innings over the reigning 6A champion Patriots.

Pace’s beach volleyball team remains in the top eight of the Region 1-2A rankings.


The Patriots are seventh in this week’s poll.

Jay, Pace, Central and Milton are all ranked high in the latest regional polls for their respective classes.


Central is second in Rural Region 1 and is 12-1 through its first 13 games. The Jaguars have won five in a row.

Jay’s Chase Dooley and Dolan Enfinger are District 1-1A weightlifting champions.


The two lifters for the Royals turned in strong performances at Wednesday’s district meet at Baker as the road to state begins for both athletes.
