Jay’s Ella Nelson found success in first year as college athlete
Ella Nelson needed a little time to adapt to college softball. Yet, once she did, the former Jay Royal was back to the form that made her a standout at the high school level.
Nelson finished her first season at Samford hitting .297, one of the best averages on the team, while racking up 35 hits and knocking in 21 runs.

Caitlyn Gavin looks back on second season at South Alabama
Caitlyn Gavin was primarily a pinch runner during her freshman year at South Alabama, but the former Jay Royal softball star saw her role on the team increase significantly this past season.

Gilroy continues to see hard work pay off on the track
