The University of West Florida football team is back in the Top 25 of the AFCA NCAA Division II poll.

The Argos check in at No. 25 this week after beating Mississippi College 42-14 on Saturday.

Alyssa Clark and Eli Tyner had the top times for the Pace girls and boys cross-country teams at the District 1-4A meet Nov. 4 in Gainesville.

Clark, in her first season in the sport, clocked in with a 21:29.30 to place 60th overall. Tyner finished 79th in the boys race, recording a time of 17:57.20.

Navarre and Jay are headed to the FHSAA playoffs.

They were among the teams selected Sunday morning for the postseason, which kick off Friday night. Pace, meanwhile, got snubbed.

With just one game left to play, the Milton Panthers were searching for any way to end their year on a high note, especially after dropping six in a row.

Enter last Friday night against Godby, when Milton senior kicker Landon Pulliam trotted out with just 2.2 seconds left on the clock, looking to send the Milton faithful home happy on homecoming night.

Pace finished their regular season last Friday night at home, defeating Lafayette 35-7.

The Patriots wrap up the regular season with an 8-2 record. It’s their best record in the regular season  since 2007 when they made it to the state semifinals.

Callie Posey has been playing volleyball for several years now. The Central standout attended camps when she was younger and made the freshman team as a sixth grader.

The final week of the regular season is here and while Milton gets set to wrap up its 2023 campaign, Jay and Pace seem poised to play in the postseason.

Pace’s boys golf team finished fifth at the Region 1-3A tournament last Tuesday at the St. John’s Golf Club in St. Augustine. Pace came through with a team score of 312.
