The University of West Florida football team is back in the Top 25 of the AFCA NCAA Division II poll.

The Argos check in at No. 25 this week after beating Mississippi College 42-14 on Saturday.

Alyssa Clark and Eli Tyner had the top times for the Pace girls and boys cross-country teams at the District 1-4A meet Nov. 4 in Gainesville.

Clark, in her first season in the sport, clocked in with a 21:29.30 to place 60th overall. Tyner finished 79th in the boys race, recording a time of 17:57.20.

Pace finished their regular season last Friday night at home, defeating Lafayette 35-7.

The Patriots wrap up the regular season with an 8-2 record. It’s their best record in the regular season  since 2007 when they made it to the state semifinals.

Pace’s boys golf team finished fifth at the Region 1-3A tournament last Tuesday at the St. John’s Golf Club in St. Augustine. Pace came through with a team score of 312.
