It is true what they say that you can go home again.
We’ve seen that locally with recent coaching hires at the high school level.

We are excited for the fun of the Beaches to Woodlands tour to begin as they celebrate their 19th anniversary of connecting north and south Santa Rosa County with events.
We hope you will take part in the fun and venture up to the north end of the county for some adventure there as well. There is an outline of events with dates in this issue.
City makes compelling argument against widening U.S. 90
Moving traffic through or around Milton isn’t a new concern. The city considered building a second bridge over the Blackwater River to connect Berryhill Street to U.S. Highway 90 and create a bypass at least 20 years ago.
But now that the Florida Department of Transportation is moving ahead with a plan to widen Caroline Street (U.S. 90) from two to four lanes between Stewart Street and Ward Basin Road, the debate over downtown’s future has taken on a new urgency.
For God’s Sake: Bible reminds believers they are not alone
My wife will occasionally ask me to read to her because she says that my voice is soothing and puts her to sleep.
She asks at bedtime, and I confess, I don’t often comply because I am tired. I like the fact that my wife finds my voice that soothing; it’s kind of like a superpower.

It was a hot early-summer Sunday afternoon at Tate. Pace kicker Reice Griffith was getting ready to put in work with One on One Kicking, but before he did, he and I talked football for a bit.

We hope you use it throughout the fall to follow your favorite teams or team member. We will be updating each week in the paper – of course.

I have a good friend, Frank Manno, who is a professional photographer like no other.
What makes Frank unique is that he is legally blind. Retinitis pigmentosa is slowly robbing him of sight, and yet he takes amazing photographs.

We throw around words like hero, courage and bravery so easily at times, often without thinking about just how big of a deal those words really are.
Sometimes they are appropriate. But often, they don’t quite fit the situation we are describing. The words fit when we are talking about Gavin Peaden.

I had a fleeting thought this morning when I saw at least five cars lined up at the corner of my house with parents and children waiting for the bus to arrive.
I wondered if my parents were throwing caution to the wind by letting me walk the .8 miles to school and .8 miles home from school every day in Orlando when I was 7 years old until I was 12 and moved on to middle school. The answer is no.
For God’s Sake: Death is no longer a threat to be feared
I recently made a mistake that was nonetheless correct.
Like some of you, I began typing with the hunt-and-peck method. I was certain that some fiend came in every night and rearranged all the keys.
