For God’s Sake: The true God remains unchanged
In this morning’s news, nestled among the latest updates on Taylor Swift’s love life, was an article reporting the growing number of America’s non-religious.
Pollsters have been reporting on the growth of the “nones” for decades.

Someone recently thought that we left someone off the arrest report on purpose – luckily, we found that person in our arrest reports.
Why is that important? Because our integrity matters.

Collins will need all of his patience and skill to lead Milton
News outlets have a fascination with the first 100 days of a new President’s administration; Scott Collins isn’t an elected executive, but what we wouldn’t have given to be a fly on his shoulder during his first 100 hours last week.

For God’s Sake: Serving a hungry congregation
In 2005, celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver, launched a bold initiative to improve the substandard quality of food served to children in Britain’s school cafeterias.
A decade later he reported that his initiative failed because, bottom line, the kids didn’t want the nutritional food he was promoting, they liked what they were getting.

Football is an emotional game and sometimes that emotion gets the best of an athlete.
I’ve seen it happen in practices countless times in my career, often to the point where full on fights have broken out between teammates, and sometimes, tensions rise among a team as well.

“Let the record reflect…”
Councilwoman Farrow of the Milton City Council said in Thursday night’s agenda workshop, “Let the record reflect the city attorney is frowning at me.”
We say, “Let the record reflect that the rest of Milton is frowning at all of you.”

Milton’s football team has had an up and down season, and yet, they continue to win every single week no matter how many marks they have in the win-loss column.
The Panthers’ success has absolutely nothing to do with the number of points that show up on the scoreboard, but rather what they are doing to make a difference.

For God’s Sake: Encourage your pastor today
I am not even remotely mechanically inclined. It is for guys like me that cars used to come with what my mechanic friend called “the idiot light.”
Pointing to it, he said, “If this light comes on, you got trouble; come see me.” Did he just call me an idiot?

Fall is officially here, although the 87-degree temperatures don’t convince me. The mornings are a little cooler, but when you are still in the upper 80s during the day, we will just keep waiting for the temperatures to catch up with the months they are supposed to be in.

Milton gets a do-over
Spring is normally a time for new beginnings, but Autumn 2023 is shaping up to be a critical time in the City of Milton’s history.
If all goes as expected, Scott Collins will start his tenure as city manager on Oct. 2, replacing Randy Jorgenson, who retired Sept. 5.
