With Kerry Smith acting as the new Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, he laid out a new set of rules for the meetings.

On Monday Dec. 9 District 3 State Rep. Joel Rudman filed a bill to repeal red flag laws that were put in place after the Parkland Shooting in 2018.

18-year-old Terez Naikeem Toyens was identified and arrested on Dec.3 for a shooting that happened in Chumuckla.

The community drive-through food distribution event on Dec. 2 provided hundreds of families with free food. Last year 10,000 pounds of food was donated within one hour, this year both of those figures doubled.
