School district employee health insurance plan for 2024 still undecided

Marine Corps Valkyrie completes first flight
Eglin Air Force Base – The Marine Corps XQ-58A Valkyrie, a highly autonomous, low-cost tactical unmanned air vehicle successfully completed its first test flight here Oct 3.
The Marine Corps partnered with the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, the Naval Air Systems Command and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division to facilitate the ongoing research, development, test and evaluation of the aircraft.

The mounting issue of “fly-dumping” on private property
Littering on someone else’s property has been coined as “fly-dumping.” It can be big or small, but it’s a nuisance most people would like to avoid. People will resort to this style of dumping for multiple reasons including not having garbage removal services, too much garbage to get rid of, and not wanting to pay for removal.

Debate on ‘local historic resource’ designation to continue
Milton Councilwoman Roxanne Meiss is asking the council to consider – again – revising the city’s Unified Development Code to allow property owners to apply for a “local historic resource” designation. The council’s agenda workshop meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19.

Legends and Lore Tour returns to Bagdad Cemetery
Meet prominent residents from Bagdad’s past and learn their stories during the Bagdad Cemetery Association’s free Legends and Lore Tour. The event was suspended because of COVID, but volunteers have revived the educational two-hour presentation, which takes place between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday at the cemetery, 6800 Pooley Street in Bagdad.
