For the past couple of years, Woodbine Church’s men have been coming together to help teach boys ages 8 to 18 outdoor skills and Bible lessons. The men and boys are a part of Kids Outdoor Zone, a ministry with chapters in numerous churches and communities around the United States.

Last summer, Risen Savior Lutheran Church held a youth soccer camp to help children in kindergarten through sixth grade hone their athletic skills while also teaching them about the gospel of Jesus Christ. The multi-day event was such a success that Pastor Craig Born and the church have decided to bring it back for 2024.

With development comes people, and with people, comes a need for a church. That was the reasoning behind Marcus Pointe Baptist Church’s expansion into the area with their North Pace campus in 2020.

After eight years at St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Rev. Christina Shaver is transferring churches. Later this year, Shaver will take over as lead pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Walton Beach. Shaver has been in ministry since 2010.
