Starting Nov. 10 and ending on Nov. 12, CLC will be hosting a pickleball tournament. Registration fees cost $30 for the first event and $5 for an additional event.

With Autumn upon us, there are many fall festivities going on in the Navarre community. Local churches are getting in on the fall fun too with pumpkin patches and fall festivals.
Several pumpkin patches have been in operation since the first week of October, with Navarre First Assembly of God and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church being two of the churches in the area which have them.
Blessing of pets held at St. Sylvester’s
The morning of Sat., Oct. 8, St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church held their annual Blessing of the Pets.
The event brought out dozens of animals and their owners, who looked to receive blessings from Father John Kelly.
Woodbine congregation spends Sunday doing ‘God’s work’
Skipping church might not seem like the most Christian thing to do, but for Woodbine Church in Pace it’s all a part of the mission of being the hands and feet of Christ.
On Sun., Oct. 2, around 100 attendees of Woodbine Church met in the church parking lot at 9 a.m. to worship and pray before heading to For The Children of Milton, a nonprofit dedicated to children who may be homeless.

Back in January, Jay Weaver, Makenzie’s dad and the bass player in contemporary Christian band Big Daddy Weave, passed away following a battle with COVID-19.
New church opens in November
Come November, there will be a new church in town.
Gathering House, a non-denominational church, will have its first Sunday service on Nov. 6. To build excitement for the new church, which was announced in June, Pastor Anthony “AJ” Rice decided to hold a worship night on Fri., Sept. 2, at West Navarre Primary School.
