PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO ABANDON CITY OF MILTON
RIGHT-OF-WAY
This letter serves as notice that the City of Milton has received a request to abandon a portion of the unimproved right-of-way of Peachtree Street between Grace Street and James Street. If approved, this right of way area would be utilized by the surrounding property owner for future development. This notice will be sent to all properties adjacent to the subject right-of-way that would be impacted by the closing of this city-maintained street.
This right-of-way within the city limits of Milton is shown on the map below. Additionally, the City may retain any easements necessary to maintain existing utilities within the right-of-way.
A Public Hearing on the proposed abandonment of Phillips Drive will be held before the City Council on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Milton City Hall. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive comments and make decisions regarding the above matter.
A copy of the proposed quit claim deed is available for public inspection at the Planning & Development Department, City Hall, 6738 Dixon Street, Milton, Florida from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
