It’s halftime at Pen Air Field on a Saturday night and the University of West Florida has already rolled up 35 points.

The sixth-ranked Argos go on to score 14 more in a 49-21 win over West Georgia in a convincing Gulf South Conference victory.

Central’s volleyball team has played a tough schedule through the first month of the season and sits at 5-10 after 15 games.

The 1A Jaguars have played several bigger schools this season, including West Florida Tech, which held off Central in three sets Wednesday by the scores of 25-10, 25-9 and 28-26.

Several Milton swimmers turned in strong performances at a meet against Choctaw and Pensacola Saturday afternoon.

Individually, Anna Barnes won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 30.32 while Alan McAlarney came through with a win in the 50 Freestyle, clocking in at 26.34.
