Milton’s boys soccer team was unable to complete a season sweep of Freeport last Tuesday night at Hurley Manning Field, falling 4-2 to the Bulldogs.

The Panthers had beaten Freeport 2-0 on Nov. 27 but fell behind 1-0 at halftime this time around and was unable to take control in the second half.

It was all going so well for Milton’s girls basketball team. Kayla Willis used a bounce pass to get the ball to Gabi Wright for a layup that pushed the Panther lead to nine late in the fourth quarter against Navarre last Tuesday night.

Everything changed in the final minutes, however, as Navarre rallied past Milton, which suffered a  39-37 District 1-6A loss to the Raiders.
