Proud parents, eager students and Pace High School staff packed the Pensacola Bay Center Saturday, May 25 for the Class of 2024’s final send off. The event saw Several hundred graduate.
Valedictorian Madison Quintanilla and Salutatorian Atiye Buker gave speeches reflecting on their time at Pace High and with their classmates, as well as words of encouragement for all those entering the next phase of life.
Milton taking applications for second annual Summer Youth Intern program

Organized by the LEAP Committee — focusing on Leadership, Experience in Communication, Academics, and Professionalism — this program is tailored for local youth aged 16-18 who are eager to gain firsthand experience in municipal government and public service.
Three promoted within Santa Rosa School District

The Santa Rosa School District voted to promote three individuals to new leadership positions during Monday night’s meeting, which also opens up two principal positions for the 2024-2025 school year.
Warren Stevens has been named the district’s new director of continuous improvement; Mandy King, the coordinator of literacy; and Nadia Colin, public information and family/community outreach office.
King Middle School places top 50 in national quiz bowl tournament

Rosemont, Illinois — On the weekend of Saturday, May 11, Martin Luther King Middle School joined 159 of the top middle school quiz bowl teams at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago for the 2024 Middle School National Championship Tournament.
Santa Rosa County students champs at FCDI State Championship tournament

Over 650 students from all across the state of Florida competed April 20. The competition featured multiple rounds and was about 15 hours in total. Collectively, Santa Rosa County students at the competition brought home lots of hardware, including several students who earned top three finishes in categories such as duo interpretation, congressional debate. Oral interpretation, and varsity public forum debate.
Santa Rosa Elementary schools face off in ‘Battle of the Books’
