Pensacola Ice Flyers name new head coach

He accepted the job Wednesday, and interestingly enough, it was on July 12, 2012, that he was first introduced to the fans during his first stint with the team. He led the Ice Flyers to the title that season, with Ice Flyers capping the run with a 2-0 win over Huntsville at the Bay Center in Pensacola.

Graham returned to Fort Wayne, Indiana, that summer and coached the Komets of the ECHL. He won 251 games during his time there, winning 40 or more games four times.

“I have followed the team closely over the past 10 years,” Graham said in a press release. “Rod and I have talked and will continue to talk numerous times each week, and we have become close friends. It has been exciting to see what Greg, Rod and the Ice Flyers have accomplished.”
