PUBLIC NOTICE

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service (FFS) and the Blackwater River State Forest Management Plan Advisory Group announce a public hearing and an advisory group meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE & TIME: Public Meeting/Hearing – Blackwater River State Forest Management Plan Advisory Group; December 2, 2025, at 1:30 P.M.
PLACE: Bear Lake Pavillion at Blackwater River State Forest 2960 Bear Lake Road, Milton, FL 32570
PURPOSE: To solicit comments on management of the Blackwater River State Forest. Comments may be presented orally or in writing at the hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to the FFS Blackwater River State Forest at 11650 Munson Highway, Milton, FL 32570 to the attention of Eric Howell and should be mailed so as to arrive at the office prior to the date of the public hearing.

DATE & TIME: Workshop Public Meeting – Blackwater River State Forest Management Plan Advisory Group; December 3, 2025, at 9:00 A.M.
PLACE: Bear Lake Pavillion at Blackwater River State Forest 2960 Bear Lake Road, Milton, FL 32570
PURPOSE: To allow the Blackwater River State Forest Management Plan Advisory Group to review comments from the public hearing and provide recommendations to the FFS to help in preparation of a management plan for the Blackwater River State Forest.

Copies of a working draft of the plan and the management prospectus are available before the date of the public hearing online at https://www.fdacs.gov/News-Events/Event-Calendar; by contacting the Blackwater River State Forest at 11650 Munson Highway, Milton, FL 32570; or by contacting Eric Howell at (850) 957-5725.
Special accommodations for persons with a disabling condition should be requested in writing to the FFS’s Blackwater River State Forest at the above listed address at least 72 hours in advance of these proceedings. Any request for special accommodations can be made by writing to the Blackwater River State Forest at the above listed address.

You are hereby notified in accordance with Chapter 286.0105, Florida Statutes, should you decide to appeal any decision made as a result of, or take exception to any findings of fact with respect to any matter considered at the hearing and meeting referred to above, you may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made. Such record shall include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

Proceedings of the public hearing and the public meeting will be recorded.

ORDINANCE NO. 13-25

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 26-32, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MILTON, REVISING LANGUAGE THAT AMENDS STANDARDS FOR MAINTENANCE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF MILTON; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

This Ordinance is on file in the City Clerk's office for inspection. Any interested party may

appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance.
