Baptist Foundation fights breast cancer with early screenings
One in eight women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer in their lifetime, according to breastcancer.org. One in 10 women in the U.S. are uninsured.
In 2020, Florida was among the states reporting the highest percentages of uninsured nonelderly women at 12%-22%, as stated by the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Santa Rosa Medical Center to host Emergency Preparedness Drill
Santa Rosa Medical Center, in partnership with various county and regional entities, will be hosting an emergency preparedness exercise on Oct. 21.
Other organizations involved in the exercise include Santa Rosa County Emergency Operations Center, Santa Rosa County Schools, LifeGuard Ambulance, University of West Florida, Milton Police Department, Milton Fire Department and hospital emergency management personnel.
