The Blackwater Soil & Water Conservation District will be facilitating a cost share program for Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties from a grant funded by the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD). This program is for fencing in agricultural lands and is intended to help improve areas affected by feral hogs.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office K9s Raider and Vixen have received bullet and stab protective vests thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Both vests were sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and embroidered with the sentiment “Honoring those who served and sacrificed”.

Tyndall recognizes Month of the Military Child
Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. — According to the Department of Defense, there are more than 1.6 million military-connected children who ultimately face many unique experiences because of their parent’s or parents’ service. To honor these individuals, the DoD designates the month of April as Month of the Military Child. For Team Tyndall and across the DoD, this time highlights the important role that children play within the armed forces community while recognizing their experiences and sacrifices.
