The Department of Environmental Protection announces receipt of an application for permit from City of Milton to construct and operate a reclaimed water sprayfield site which would land apply 2.0 MGD of reclaimed water to a slow-rate restricted public access (except subsurface) system that is comprised of two parcels for the sprayfield site with a total wetted area of 139 acres located approximately at latitude 30o 39' 22.93" N, longitude 86o 56' 40.30" W and approximately at latitude 30o 39' 43.53" N, longitude 86o 56' 29.64" W. An additional parcel, located approximately at 30o 39' 13.36" N, longitude 86o 57' 52.68" W, will house a 2.0 MG reclaimed water storage tank, a 4.0 MG lined reclaimed water storage pond, and a pump station for the sprayfield. The proposed project will be located in Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida 32572. The Department has assigned permit file number FLA753335-004-DW1R to the proposed project.
This application is being processed and is available for public inspection during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, at the Department's Northwest District Office, 160 W. Government Street, Suite 308, Pensacola, Florida 32502-
5740, at phone number (850)595-8300. Any comments or objections should be filed in writing with the Department at this address. Comments or objections should be submitted as soon as possible to ensure that there is adequate time for them to be considered in the Department's decision on the application.
