It’s hardly a surprise as Nieves led the Panthers to another 20-win season, a district title and an appearance in the Sweet 16.

The Panthers scored six runs in the first and rolled to a 15-5 victory on the road, notching their sixth win of the season, as an impressive start for the team continues.

North Santa Rosa County represented itself well at the FHSAA state weightlifting meet three weeks ago at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
