The Panthers had beaten Freeport 2-0 on Nov. 27 but fell behind 1-0 at halftime this time around and was unable to take control in the second half.

It was all going so well for Milton’s girls basketball team. Kayla Willis used a bounce pass to get the ball to Gabi Wright for a layup that pushed the Panther lead to nine late in the fourth quarter against Navarre last Tuesday night.
Everything changed in the final minutes, however, as Navarre rallied past Milton, which suffered a 39-37 District 1-6A loss to the Raiders.
Several Pace athletes sign letters of intent
Five Pace athletes signed national letters of intent earlier this month.
Two of those athletes are headed to the Division I level, with softball standout Jayden Heavener signing with LSU and star golfer Braden Duvall bound for Southern Mississippi.
