Congratulations class of 2023

May 22, 2023
Our high school seniors are about to celebrate a huge accomplishment in their life and dip their toe into the adult end of the life pool. We are excited for you as you realize your whole life is ahead of you. You have barely begun to scratch the surface of what you can accomplish. The past twelve years have all been for this moment – mostly. Some of you will go on to use algebraic equations and some of you won’t. Whatever you decide to do with your life over the next few years, do it well! Here is some advice we couldn’t resist passing along:

I wish I could go back to the simpler days,” she texted. No, honey. No, you don’t.

Wise Words: Santa Rosa County Commission could use a few women

February 4, 2022
Many of the “shoulds” of my childhood have been washed away and that is for the better. Women can and need to earn as much as men. Men can and need to be as involved in their children’s lives as women. Leaders of our schools, communities and nation can and need to be people of all genders, nationalities and religions

Letter to the editor: Political-based club meeting had no place on front page

January 26, 2022
I was disappointed reading Patriots hold candlelight vigil for Jan. 6 prisoners. Is a political-based club meeting really front-page news? I would have expected more from the Gazette.
