Our high school seniors are about to celebrate a huge accomplishment in their life and dip their toe into the adult end of the life pool. We are excited for you as you realize your whole life is ahead of you. You have barely begun to scratch the surface of what you can accomplish. The past twelve years have all been for this moment – mostly. Some of you will go on to use algebraic equations and some of you won’t. Whatever you decide to do with your life over the next few years, do it well! Here is some advice we couldn’t resist passing along:
We live in a strange time in American history.
Despite all the advances we’ve made medically, scientifically and technologically, we seem more divided as a nation than we have in a long time.
Many of the “shoulds” of my childhood have been washed away and that is for the better. Women can and need to earn as much as men. Men can and need to be as involved in their children’s lives as women. Leaders of our schools, communities and nation can and need to be people of all genders, nationalities and religions
I was disappointed reading Patriots hold candlelight vigil for Jan. 6 prisoners. Is a political-based club meeting really front-page news? I would have expected more from the Gazette.
