Wednesday, March 20, was a busy day for Central School in Allentown. The school turned its football field and stadium into a staging ground for tractors, combines, livestock, science experiments, vendors and even a petting zoo.

Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit secured nearly $150,000 through a multistate action against Lincare Inc., a durable medical equipment supplier. The action resolves allegations that Lincare knowingly submitted, or caused to be submitted, false claims to various government health care programs, including Medicaid, for conduct related to its rentals of non-invasive home ventilation devices.

Wright: CRAs could give unincorporated communities more control
Santa Rosa County Commissioner Colten Wright believes CRAs – community redevelopment districts – could give residents in the county’s unincorporated areas more control in their communities. He said last week that he’s working with staff to develop a “finding of necessity” to support a CRA in District 5.

The Santa Rosa Education Foundation invited every school in the Santa Rosa School District to nominate one teacher for the 2024 Santa Rosa Rookie of the Year award.
