County hampers city’s progress for wastewater treatment plant

Tensions were high at the April 8 Milton City Council meeting after they received another delay in their wastewater treatment plant. On March 27, the county tabled the city’s request for a conditional use permit for the city’s planned wastewater treatment plant. The city is trying to fast-track this project, but now they have hit another proverbial bump in the road.

Pensacola Habitat for Humanity is building four new homes in Milton. Their mission is to help families find strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit that builds homes with affordable mortgages, making the dream of being a homeowner a reality. Through their Homebuyer Program and Community Land Trust, they will be building four new homes in Larriet Lane in Milton that will go to families who would otherwise be unable to afford them.
