Dr. Amr Hassan from Baptist Medical Group’s Hematology and Oncology department has studied several types of cancer during his career, but he says that breast cancer in particular has made significant medical advancements. Breast cancer survival rates have gone up over the past decade and new research provides hope for people diagnosed.

Chumuckla Highway will experience intermittent lane closures Wednesday, Nov. 13, and Thursday, Nov. 14, for Thermoplastic road striping. Lane closures will be during the operating times of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for both days. The portion of the roadway impacted by these intermittent closures begins just in front of Alyssa’s and ends just south of the Victorian Manner Assisted Living Facility.
