Qualifying has ended for local elections in Santa Rosa County, and the good news is that voters will have plenty of choices at the ballot box. The bad news is that registered voters are going to have plenty of homework to do in order to get to know all these candidates.

For the past couple of years, Woodbine Church’s men have been coming together to help teach boys ages 8 to 18 outdoor skills and Bible lessons. The men and boys are a part of Kids Outdoor Zone, a ministry with chapters in numerous churches and communities around the United States.

The Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners will vote at its Thursday, June 13 meeting on a contractor for the Navarre Beach re-nourishment project.

In 2023, the commission approved a full beach re-nourishment project, which was estimated to involve placing 580,000 cubic yards of sand on Navarre Beach. As part of Thursday’s consent agenda, it will consider awarding a contract for the project to Manson Construction Co. in the amount of $11,491,463.
