BoCC to hold final 2024 budget hearing tonight

The Santa Rosa County Commission will have its final Fiscal Year 2024 budget hearing at 6 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 19, in the Commission Meeting Room, 6495 Caroline St., Milton. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to officially approve a total overall budget of $251,355,646.

Animal Services to hold Community Cats Day Sept. 13

Santa Rosa County Animal Services is hosting a Community Cats Day for Santa Rosa County residents Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter, 4451 Pine Forest Road in Milton. Up to 40 stray/feral cats will be accepted for free spay and neutering through community cats program funding.
Participants must be Santa Rosa County residents and are required to show proof of residency in Santa Rosa County. Participants can bring up to three community cats per participant, first come, first served.
