Santa Rosa drivers should be on lookout for these roads under construction
Drivers in Santa Rosa County will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
In preparation for the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend, there will be no lane closures or other activities that impede traffic on major state roads beginning at 12 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 and ending at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30.

Man arrested in Pace for attempted murder, threatening officer
Dalton Wallace, 30, was arrested Nov. 9 for withholding support, intimidation, two counts of battery, obstructing justice, resisting an officer, burglary and attempted homicide.
County, City of Milton hold Veterans Day ceremony
Santa Rosa County, in conjunction with the City of Milton, held a Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, with a county commissioner, decorated veterans and city council members in attendance. The Milton High School ROTC began the event by presenting the colors, followed by MHS Choir performing the Star-Spangled Banner.
County Commissioners approve conservation communities
At the Monday, November 10 Land Development Code meeting, the Board of Santa Rosa County Commissioners passed several amendments to the LDC, including the controversial item on conservation communities, also called alternative subdivisions.

Veterans Day is held annually each Nov. 11 in honor of all of those who have served in the U.S. military.
