Jay High School hosted their 21st annual Jay Pro Rodeo. The event, which took place on April 29 and 30, was both an event for pro rodeo riders and local amateurs looking for an audience.

The JHS Student Government Association has been putting on the rodeo for over twenty years in order to raise money for both the school and the community.

Veterans are showing up for each other here in Milton. The local Milton chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Post 4833, has given Defenders of Freedom Florida (DOFFL) a check for $10,000 to send a veteran through the traumatic brain injury program.

On Thursday, April 14, Lieutenant Junior Grade (Lt.j.g) Anthony Young of the United States Navy and twenty others from Training Air Wing Five were honored for completing their advanced helicopter training.

A group of Marine veterans met at The Hangar in Milton to support a cause close to their hearts.

Blackwater Heritage State Trail has been a community favorite since the 1990s. Locals spearheaded the creation of the trail, and they continue to enjoy its history and beauty today.

Additional funding for the Peter Prince Field Airport master plan was approved at Thursday’s Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioner’s meeting.
