Santa Rosa County celebrated its first annual Rural Roots Day Nov. 8, showcasing the county’s heritage and farming roots in a family-friendly, interactive manner. The event took place at the UF/IFAS extension in Jay, and featured livestock, free food, a pie contest and an archery demonstration hosted by Santa Rosa Archery, among other things.
