The slide had a split in the center of the flow line, and a new piece had to be custom made. County Public Information Officer Sarah Whitfield said the piece was still in the manufacturing process as of July 17.
However, it showed a ship date of mid-August. The slide would then need to be repaired before being opened back up for the public.
There were limbs down in the park the day of the storm, which lead to its closure for a few hours.
