New name added to wall at 56th EOD memorial

Dressed in the bright whites, deep blues and dense blacks of their service uniforms, Airmen, Marines, Sailors and Soldiers returned this year to honor and remember their fallen explosive ordnance disposal brethren May 3.
Gail Faris Galli, mother of Army 1st Lt. Zachary Galli, accepts an American flag from Lt. Gen. Heidi Hoyle, Army deputy chief of staff for logistics, at the 56th Explosive Ordnance Disposal Memorial event May 3, 2025 at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Galli’s name was added to the memorial wall during this year’s ceremony at the Kauffman EOD Training Complex. The all-service total now stands at 345.
